This braid has been a staple in homecoming mums for years. Although it is called the Military Mum Garter Braid, it does not mean that one has to be affiliated or associated with the military, it is named this because it’s shape mimics the cords on a military uniform. It can be cut and re-stapled if you desire it to be shorter. The 18″ length works for 12 – 24″ mum garter. We do offer the 18″ braid as well on the garter braid page.
